NYCJPG is organized by themes, which can run for 3 days, a week, or a month. The decision of when to run a theme depends on if we have enough good pictures ready to go, how currently topical it is, and if it offers a contrast to the previous theme.
You are welcome to submit photos on existing or proposed themes, or on new themes of your own invention.
